After my dump run today I ran down back to see what Bill
had done and to see if the log truck had been there...Ray the
log truck driver was just getting there to get the 1st load out...
Bill and I followed him out as he was concerned about needing
a push across the brook but he did fine...
We talked for a few minutes bwfore he got on Stock Farm Road
and as I turned to get my truck, up by the stone wall was a doe
with 2 brand new fawns...They were still wobbly so they couldnt
have been more then 24 hours old...Coolest thing to see!
After that I came down t the house to see if I could work on the
front lawn since it had 36 hours to dry...It wasnt bad but hard on
the surface so I ran the awn mpwer pver the top for a few passes
tp break it up some and then I could "chop" the dirt the rest of the
way s I could work with it...
Bill let me borrow his landscaping rake and thats how I smoothed it
out to get it ready to seed...Seed is now down and its up to Mother
Nature now to assist me in getting the lawn going...
Its not as level as I would have liked it but its not bad and over time
I can get more topsoil laid in some low spots to make it better...
