The last few days have been busy getting things
wrapped up around the house...
I accomplished quite a bit this trip...Got the master bedroom
and living room gutted down to studs, rewired and outside
walls insulated...And I got the dining room gutted and outside
wall insulated...I did the logroad clean-up and trimming for the
logtrucks and got the property line trimmed out which hasnt been
done in quite a few years...
Got my 17 lb tom down and we smoked him this past weekend...
and got quite a bit learned this May about turkey hunting...
And lastly the front landscaping done...Along with the area redone
where the big pine once stood...Look how good the grass has grown
in 2 weeks!

June 12th - Lindsey Stirling Concert
Over the past year I have become a huge Lindsey Stirling fan...I dont
remember how I first saw her but it was purely by accident and I was
hooked immediately...
Lindsey got her big shot on Americas Got Talent where she made it
to the quarter finals in 2010...Piers Morgan, to no surprise, "X-ed"
her and said she was talented but couldnt see her being a "hip-hop
violinist" as a show in Vegas...
Lindsey was heart-broken but turned that rejection around where
she took her talent on YouTube and became one of the first big
stars to make it through YouTube...
To date she has over 6 million subscribers to her channel and has
over a billion views of her videos...
I invite you to check her out at the following links to learn more...
Her videos are truly amazing...The quality is I believe better then
youll see done by other artist on VH-1, MTV, etc...

Lindsey not just writes her own music but creates all her steps and
dances AND now on tour, stage designs, etc...She is VERY hands
on...And very talented when you see her videos...
Lindsey was coming to Syracuse and I could not pass at the chance
to see her...
She even played one song for us too...
Prior to Lindsey coming out on stage, she had 2 opening acts...One was a
pop star named Olivia Somerlyn...
And the other was a hip-hop/rap duo Karmin...
Finally, Lindsey took the stage and she did not disappoint! Some of the videos
are full length and others are just "shortys"...My camera filled up and had to
switch to my smart-phone where the audio I dont think was as good...So I
apologize ahead of time...I also need to apologize for having to go to smaller
resolutions on the larger files so hey arent as clear...
For the next couple of songs, they dropped a large white fabric down and
projected various things off of it...Lindsey and the group danced both in
front and behind the fabric which makes it hard to see them at times...
And she even sings...
Finale'...

HD bigger screens are now on YouTube...

I got to sit in on a Q&A session with Lindsey where she answered
my question of, "Has she run into or heard from Piers since he booted
her off AGT?" To no shock of anyone there, she has not heard from
him and she even joked about how she thought he was going to bring
her onto his CNN show but alas, Piers show has been canceled (as
she smiles)...Success is the sweetest revenge!!!!

June 11th
On Wed the 10th I went to Altamont and met my friend Bill
for a game a golf at Orchard Creek...First tome there and it
was noce to play on a REAL course...Game reflected it too but
thats ok...It was the perfect day to play...Beautiful course!
I then came home and cut down a birch tree in the bowl so I had
some starter wood this winter...Got it all cut and split and ready to
go...
Today I had lunch with an old high school classmate Lisa at the Shaker Shed in Colonie
and ate outside and caught up on things...
I then came home after picking my trailer up from Tims when I brought firewood
down to him and started trimming property lines out...Got the 1st part done down
to Charlie and Vie's roadway...Will do more tomorrow...
Bill has 2 more loads of logs go out and more to go on Friday...He will do some road
repairs along with cutting Friday...

June 8th - Trail Camera Pictures/Videos
As I have now been infomred that I will be going back to work on

June 7th - Grand-Babies Day!!
I just love these days...Its my time with the 2 little peanuts that
have captured my heart...They are growing up way too fast...
I got there after church and Brie's nap...I invited April to go with
me...She wants to see as much of them as possible too and HEY!!!
Its a free trip for her...lol
We spent a few minutes visiting at the house Where the girls had to
show me their "dance"...
Being such a nice day we decided we'd take the girls over to Fly Creek Cider Mill...
They have fun kid stuff for the girls and they have ducks and chickens
they can feed...
Beck and Anise...
We then went to Jerry's Place down the road where the girls needed something
to eat before having ice cream...
Anise and Auntie Sissy are twins with their rainbow sprinkles...
The day ended as quick as it started with the girls falling asleep before we
even made it home...

June 4th - 1st Fawns Of The Year
After my dump run today I ran down back to see what Bill
had done and to see if the log truck had been there...Ray the
log truck driver was just getting there to get the 1st load out...
Bill and I followed him out as he was concerned about needing
a push across the brook but he did fine...
We talked for a few minutes bwfore he got on Stock Farm Road
and as I turned to get my truck, up by the stone wall was a doe
with 2 brand new fawns...They were still wobbly so they couldnt
have been more then 24 hours old...Coolest thing to see!
After that I came down t the house to see if I could work on the
front lawn since it had 36 hours to dry...It wasnt bad but hard on
the surface so I ran the awn mpwer pver the top for a few passes
tp break it up some and then I could "chop" the dirt the rest of the
way s I could work with it...
Bill let me borrow his landscaping rake and thats how I smoothed it
out to get it ready to seed...Seed is now down and its up to Mother
Nature now to assist me in getting the lawn going...
Its not as level as I would have liked it but its not bad and over time
I can get more topsoil laid in some low spots to make it better...
